in 1994, my dad decided to work for an indian subsidiary of a 350+ year-old french construction company. my mom was an all india radio artist trained in hindustani classical music. they married each other in 1997, and they had me and my twin brother in 2002 in mumbai, india.
in 2003, my dad was given the opportunity to work in the company headquarters in paris, and both my parents moved to a country outside india for the first time in their lives. neither of them spoke french at a time in france where speaking french was expected to survive both personally and professionally. with the help of pocket dictionaries, radio programs, and good friends, they persevered and made a life for themselves.
my dad worked incredibly hard, traveling multiple weeks every month. my mom promoted indian music at a time when bollywood was becoming popular in france, performing at huge venues like le grand rex. after five memorable years, my dad had the opportunity to lead a business sector of the company in india, so we moved to bangalore where i attended vidyashilp academy.
after seven years, we returned to paris when my dad was given a leadership opportunity on a global level at the company. my mom continued to perform, representing india at various forums and festivals including unesco, festival du livre de paris, and namaste france.
during this time, i attended the american school of paris. i fell in love with computer science in the tenth grade, and i spent most of my time in high school building random things, doing model un, reading fiction, and playing/watching tennis.
i graduated as valedictorian with the ib diploma in 2020, and i attended georgia tech for computer science. because of covid, i couldn’t travel to the US, so i spent my first year at the study abroad campus in lorraine, france, where i met dr. vicki birchfield with whom i did technology policy research for the rest of my time in college. i am a member of the delta chi fraternity, and i was president at webdev @ gt, member of the center for european and transatlantic studies, and a teaching assistant for cs ethics and cognitive science.
i did several internships at goldman sachs and amazon, and i moved to san francisco at the start of 2025 as a software engineer at meta, where i work on building agentic commerce experiences (including shaping industry protocols) and scaling hundreds of billions of dollars of payments processing.
for as long as i can remember, i have been a deeply introspective person with an itch to leave my mark on the world. i love writing, reading, eating good food, and building cool stuff. i enjoy watching and discussing good movies, shows, and anime. i am deeply passionate about languages (i hope to learn 8 by 30), tennis (long-time djokovic fan), football (equipe de france & real madrid), global policy, and more recently fitness.
